Mark’s Monday Message

Mark’s Monday Message

Good morning. I just wanted to remind us all today of Jesus’ mandate (and therefore our mandate):

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
    because he has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.”

This coming Sunday will be our Café Church, where we do things a little differently. As our theme for this year is ‘connecting’ I want to encourage us all to spend a little more time this Sunday slowing down our usual routine and getting to know others. We will start shortly after the early service (around 9:30am) and for the next couple of hours there will be a variety of activities to hopefully help us to enjoy a little more fellowship. There will be board games, jigsaws, tea & coffee/tea (and hopefully toast) craft, a quiet room, creche (parents please stay with your children) and other activities but the main purpose is to bring us to together and have fun. We will gather all together shortly after 11 for a short time of worship. Hope you can make it a priority.

Have a great week!

Mark
