Women’s World Day of Prayer for 2019 is on Friday 1st March. The theme is ‘Come, everything is ready’, and the service has been prepared by the churches of Slovenia. Churches all over the world will be holding services to meet and pray togeth- er. This year, the Horsham service will be at St. Mary’s, Horsham, at 10.30. There will not be an evening service. Horsham Christian Aid Group has been offered the opportunity to receive donations from shoppers at Tesco Extra, Wickhurst Lane, Broadbridge Heath on Friday 13th July. It is our hope that we can collect from 8.00 am in the morning until 10.00 pm that same evening. We are asking for each volunteer to offer one hour which would mean that, with two volunteers ‘on duty’ for an hour, we will need just 28 people to cover the 14-hour period. PLEASE help…

The role involves helping with the spiritual well being of the patients. The sessions are 2-3 hours per week alternating between visiting patients on Horizon ward, and taking part in the weekly communion service held in the Hospital chapel each Fri-day. We will be meeting at Denne Hill at 06.30 on Easter Morning across the road from the Boars Head Pub on Worthing Road. We have permission to use their car park from 06.30-07.30(c.40 cars if you double park). This service will be a joint service with St Mary’s who have invited us back to the Leslie Room for hot cross buns and drinks at 07.15ish – car parking behind the church office on a Sunday.
