Dear All, Schubert Octet is a wonderfully joyful piece that doesn’t get played very much, as it’s such a challenge to muster 8 musicians, and it’s quite challenging to play too!
The Chianti Ensemble has met in our bassoonist’s garden (in Pulborough) on two equally
glorious summer days in 2017 and 2018, combining the music with wonderful food and
wine, Wimbledon and World Cup, fun and friendship. so St John’s Church, Broadbridge
Heath in the depths of winter is an exciting departure for us!!
Please feel free to come along to all, or just part of this very informal ‘open rehearsal’.
3 – 5pm this afternoon at St John’s.
Hopefully you’ll enjoy the music and gain some insight into why it is that ‘chamber music’ is such a joy and delight to musicians…… and if you can stay, join us for a cup or glass of something festive. Rachel Ellis
