Mark’s Monday Message

Mark’s Monday Message

Good afternoon. I hope your week has started well, particularly those beginning new terms/classes/jobs. I pray that you are able to experience God and hear Him wherever you have begun your week and know his provision and calling there: wherever you are, whatever you do, and whoever you are. We have a number of events coming up in the next two months:

The chair of the IMB at Ford Prison (just outside Arundel) is a member of the congregation in Rudgwick and there is currently a national recruiting campaign, which closes on 11 September. The Independent Monitoring Board see that prisoners are looked after with fairness and decency. Applications can be made online or if anyone is interested in finding out contact Martin King.

There is a community litter pick in Broadbridge Heath and Wickhurst Green on Saturday 10th September 10:00am-12:30pm organised by the Parish Council. If you would like to help out then meet at their office on Sargent Way (by the Co-op) and maybe consider following it up with helping with an Autumn clean-up at St John’s in the afternoon for a Love Your Church session in the afternoon at church from 12pm.

There will be a quiz evening on Saturday 17th September at 7:30pm in the church hall. Please contact Sarah in the church office if you are interested in coming.

Our Harvest Supper, hosted by the Mission Team, will be on Saturday 8th October where we will be able to hear from the Mande family about their ministry in Uganda and learn how we can support them.

On the following day, 9th October we will be having baptisms during the 10:30am service.

Finally on 11th October and every subsequent Tuesday evening, we will be holding our next alpha course. We already have some wonderful people who have offered meals for this . If you have questions about faith, then why not consider coming along. Again, contact the church office for more details.

Have a great week

Mark
