The Good Friday Walk of Witness in Horsham Town Centre will be taking place as usual. Everyone is welcome to join one of the groups as they make their way along East Street and West Street towards the Carfax. This year there will be two processions which will have an even greater impact.
East Street Walk – assemble at Brighton Road Baptist Church (New Street Entrance) from 10.30am to move off at 10.45am
West Street Walk – assemble at St. John the Evangelist RC Church from 10.30am to move off at 10.45am
Participants are encouraged to carry a cross e.g. a Palm Cross, a Holding Cross as they walk along quietly together.
From 10am, Hot Cross buns will be distributed to the general public, along with Good Friday serviettes printed with ‘Why a cross on a Hot Cross bun?’ and Bible Society booklets for children.
The Good Friday Joint Service is an exciting opportunity for Christians from churches in and around Horsham to witness about their faith on a key date in the Christian calendar. The service, which takes place on the Carfax Bandstand, starts at 11.10am and will be finished by 11.50am. Do come along!
Volunteer stewards are needed for the event – if you are available to help from 10.30am-12 noon, please contact Rosemary Couchman, HCT Development Co-ordinator by 31st March (Rosemary.Couchman@HorshamCT.
