Pastoral Ministry

Most of the activities of church come under pastoral care, especially those which build friendships and train and equip members of the congregation to support one another better.

These include:
  • Home groups
  • TAT
  • Women’s Retreat
  • Men’s Breakfasts and Outings
  • Men’s Retreat
  • Prayer Net
  • Alpha courses
  • Parenting courses
  • Marriage courses
  • Prayer ministry
  • Tea and fellowship
  • Space Project
  • Church Camp
  • Children’s groups.
  • Meals on wheels and practical help
  • Freedom in Christ course
  • Acorn Listening training
  • Transport rota
The aim of the Pastoral Team is to encourage whole church ministry. The vicar can’t do it all!. We hope that most needs are met via one of these groups and activities. Many needs are met quietly by individuals behind the scenes

The Pastoral Team aims to be co-ordinate people who might slip through the net and in response to crisis situations – illness etc.

Pastoral Link Team members:

Ewen Souter, Michael and Mercedes Bell, Sarah Webster, Jane Busby, Hazel Lamb, Vivien Herbert, Nick and Jackie Cole

Anyone with needs or who thinks someone might have a need, or feels they need reinforcements can contact a member of the PLT, who will co-ordinate help eg meals rota, help with transport, putting in touch with someone to talk and pray over problems.
